Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an excellent antislip effect for all types of shoes and to prevent the shoes from dropping outward of pillion steps.
SOLUTION: The pillion step of a scooter type vehicle has an upper-surface antislip pattern comprising a plurality of block lines A, B, C generally extending in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle, and the upper surface of each of the blocks 13, 14, 15... of the block lines A, B, C is formed into a forwardly downwardly sloping surface. The phases of dividing grooves 16, 16... longitudinally separating the blocks 13, 14, 15... deviate from one another among the adjacent block lines A, B, C. Each of the dividing grooves 16, 16... is formed so that its outer end 16a is tilted backward beyond its inner end 16a, and the blocks 13, 14, 15... are of different heights.
