Abstract:
To provide a method of improving the carrier frequency offset tracking performance due to proper placement of a frequency diversity pilot tone.SOLUTION: A method determine an RU resource unit for a payload portion of an orthogonal frequency division multiple connection (OFDMA) frame (S7902), causes a pilot to be included in one or more odd 26 subcarrier RUs of a frame in a first set of positions relative to each lowest subcarrier of the odd 26 subcarrier RU (S7904), causes the pilot to be included in one or more even 26 subcarrier RUs of the frame in a second set of positions relative to each lowest subcarrier of the even 26 subcarrier RU (S7906), causes the pilot to be included in a center 26 subcarrier RU of the frame in the third set of positions relative to each lowest subcarrier RU of the central 26 subcarrier RU (S7908), and transmits the frame by a wireless device (S7910).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 79
