PURPOSE: To provide a pin electrode structure with which miscellaneous energy of an electrostatic painting spray gun can be lowered.
CONSTITUTION: A pin electrode 4 is formed into a pipe-like shape whose tip part is closed and the electrode is inserted and fixed in the tip of a needle valve 3 whose inside is made hollow and a resistor fibrous thread 5 which holds necessary resistance region 1 is inserted throughout the whole length of the hollow inside of the needle valve 3 and the pipe-like pin electrode, and a fixed metal pin 6 is inserted and fixed in the base end of the needle valve 3 to connect the resistor fibrous thread 5 to the fixed pin 6, so that connection between the pin electrode 4 and the needle valve core rod 9 is separated and discharge energy relatively high electrostatic capacity possessed by the metal part extended farther than the resistor 11 in a barrel, is suppressed.
