Title:
PIN-TYPE DISC BRAKE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS57154528
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To make the structure of a pin-type disc brake compact and simple, by supporting a caliper with a single slide pin, hanging friction pads with a single pad retainer pin and engaging the caliper and the pads with a support member at the outgoing side of the rotation of a rotor so that the caliper and the pads prevent each other from rotating. CONSTITUTION:Friction pads 9, 10 are hung with a single pad retainer pin 8 and supported with a caliper 5 so that the pads can be moved in the axial direction of a rotor 1. The flat parts of back plates of the friction pads 9, 10 are engaged with that of a support member 2 at the outgoing side of rotation of the rotor 1 and engaged with the inside surface of the saddle part of the caliper 5 at the incoming side of the rotation of the rotor. The flat part of the caliper 5 is engaged with that of the support member 2 at the outgoing side of the rotation of the rotor 1 so that the caliper is kept from rotating. As a result, a good function of bearing the braking torque in forward movement and in backward movement is fulfilled and the structure is made compact and simple.
