PURPOSE: To bring pinch rolls near to an edging press device as far as possible and to allow the approach of the distance between the pinch rolls on an inlet side and an outlet side by supporting the bearing chocks of the pinch rolls from the front and the back between guide frames and reinforcing posts.

CONSTITUTION: The bearing chocks 16 of the pinch rolls 7 are supported from the front and the back by the guide frames 6 and the reinforcing posts. The components progressing toward the reinforcing posts 8 among the impact which is generated from the edging press device 1, is applied to a slab 5 and is inputted to the pinch rolls 7 and the impact which is generated in the pinch rolls 7 at the time of passage of the slab 5 are directly supported by the reinforcing posts 8. The components transmitted from the guide frames 6 to joining beams 17, 18 are also supported by the reinforcing posts 8. The components progressing to a vertical direction are absorbed as the bearing chocks 16 move upward and downward. As a result, the impact progressing to the front and back which is inputted in the pinch rolls is supported by the reinforcing posts 8. The bearing chocks 16 of the pinch rolls 7 are brought into sliding contact with the guide frames 6 of housings 2, 3 and, therefore, the approach of the pinch rolls 7 to the edge press device 1 as far as possible is executed.
