To provide pinch roll equipment of simplified, lightweight and compact construction wherein the gap between upper and lower pinch rolls directly reflects the reduction stroke of a reduction unit.
The pinch roll equipment 1 is mounted on the upper part of a housing 2 and is provided with the reduction unit 14 which vertically moves the upper pinch roll 5 against the lower pinch roll 3, a supporting member 9 connected to the reduction unit 14, an upper bearing housing 6 which can be freely attached to and detached from the supporting member 9 and supports the upper pinch roll 5 to be free to rotate, an auxiliary bearing housing 15 which is located outside the upper bearing housing 6 and supports the upper pinch roll 5 to be free to rotate, and a pushing-up unit 16 which is fixed to the housing 2 and can push the auxiliary bearing housing 15 upward.
