PURPOSE: To obtain a pipe for a can made of synthetic resin, which is excellent in physical strength and capable of being sufficiently wound and fastened around caps by making a wall thickness at both end portions of the pipe made of the synthetic resin thinner than a wall thickness at the central portion thereof and specifying the thickness of such thin-walled portions.
CONSTITUTION: Polyolefin such as polyethylene and polypropylene, polyester, polyamide and like can be used as a synthetic resin. In order to maintain the physical strength of a manufactured can, it is desirable that the central portion 11 of a pipe 1 has a wall thickness of not less than 0.60 mm. Both end portions 12 of the pipe have a wall thickness of 0.30-0.55 mm for being favorably wound and fastened around metallic caps. After the substantially central portion of the pipe 1 is elongated under heating, the eleongated portion is cut at the substantially central part thereof.
