Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a means which is operated to detect an abnormal state, wherein a protection ring to protect the seal ring of a mechanical coupling for connecting an insertion port pipe inserted in a socket pipe is forced to part during operation of a pull-off force exerted on the two pipes.
CONSTITUTION: A protection ring abnormal state detecting material 8 formed of a component being different from fluid flowing through a passage A in two pipes 2 and 3 and fronting on the flow passage A owing to parting of a protection ring 6 occasioned by operation of a pull-off force exerted on the two pipes 2 and 3 is incorporated in the protection ring 6.
