Abstract:
To improve the quality of a product by suppressing a positional deviation of the clamp position of the pipe and appropriately cutting a pipe in a pipe cutting device and method.
While a reference clamp position by reference clamp pieces 25a and 25b is set according to the diameter of the steel pipe P, a pressurizing clamp force by pressurizing clamp pieces 28a and 28b is set according to the diameter and the wall thickness of the steel pipe P. When the piece interval distance C of the reference clamp pieces 25a and 25b (pressurizing clamp pieces 28a and 28b) is longer than the pipe end part length L of the steel pipe P, the reference clamp position is corrected according to the pressurizing clamp force.
