To provide a pipe cutting device and a pipe cutting method capable of performing a post-step (secondary machining) simultaneously with a cutting operation while providing the advantages of conventional pipe cutting device and pipe cutting method.
This pipe cutting device includes a fixing means 2 for fixing a pipe 1 and a cutting blade 3 cutting the pipe 1 fixed by the fixing means 2, the cutting blade 3 includes a parting tool-shape blade, the blade 3 is secured to a tool post 4, the pipe cutting device further has a drive means 5 rotating the blade 3 around the pipe center and a decentering means 6 decentering the rotating center of the drive means 5 to the pipe center so as to push the blade 3 to a part of the whole periphery of the outer surface of the pipe and cut the part, the pipe 1 is cut by forming an annular groove in the pipe 1 and deepening the annular groove by repeatedly performing the cutting.
