PURPOSE: To prevent falling of cut chips into a pipe occuring at the time of drilling a pipe, in a simple structure.

CONSTITUTION: A storage cylinder 11 is provided coaxially with an installation part 8d of a shutter device 7 in a pipe drilling machine 1 fixed on a pipe 3 through the shutter device 7. A thin plate type permanent magnet 14 is fastened on the internal surface of the storage cylinder 11, and first and second insertion ports 12a, 13a slightly larger than an outer diameter of a blade edge 2a of a drill 2 in diameter are respectively formed on a top board 12 and a bottom board 13. The storage cylinder 11 is installed on a blade edge 2c of the drill 2 through a compression spring 15, and as the drill 2 drills the pipe 3, the storage cylinder 11 receives larger spring force and it is made to come closer to the pipe 3. As cut chips growing from the blade edge 2c of the drill 2 at the time of drilling are stored in the storage cylinder 11 and attracted by the permanent magnet 14, they don't fall into the pipe 3.
