To facilitate the simple attaching of a pipe end cap even if an error exists in the bore of pipe material, and strengthen engaging ability with the pipe material, and simplify its manufacturing method.
A pipe end inner attaching member 1 uses a thin plate such as spring steel having elastic force as raw material, and has four pipe end inner attaching parts 2 extending from a base part 11. A thin plate is punched to form the original form of the pipe end inner attaching member 1, and each pipe end inner attaching part 2 is bent to compose a base part 11 serving as an attaching part to an outer cover, and moreover a neck part 21 bent nearly perpendicular to the base part 11; a flange part 22 bent nearly rectangularly outward to the neck part 21; a bending part 23 bent inward to the flange part 22; and a pawl part 24 being the tip part of the bending part 23 folded back outwards are severally formed. In addition, in order to heighten pressing force to the inner wall of a pipe material, elastic member 3 is fitted or joined to a recess formed of the flange part 22 and the bending part 23. Thus the tips of the flange part 22 and of the pawl part 24 press the inner wall of the pipe material to make the pawl part 24 engage on the inner wall of the pipe material, and the whole of sections is fixed to the opened end (pipe end) of the pipe material.
