To take preventive measures against disengagement of coupling free ends of band pieces for pipe temporary positioning and for pipe retaining due to an external force such as piping load.
The preventive measures against the disengagement of the coupling free ends 3 are taken as follows. That is, the coupling free ends 3 of the individual band pieces 2a and 2b are formed to be mutually engageable into an X-letter shape by stepped receiving sections 31 having a larger diameter than the diameter of the band pieces 2a and 2b, and by tip overlapping pieces 33 overlapping with the stepped receiving sections 31 arranged through an inclined coupling piece having a half width and having cutout grooves 32 oppositely directed in the width direction with respect to the pair of band pieces. Engaging small protrusions 35 are arranged at two locations in each width direction, which are respectively made of a cut-and-raised protrusion, are arranged on the individual stepped receiving sections 31 and the tip overlapping pieces 33. The engaging small protrusions 35 are arranged in series in the width direction so that during the coupling of the coupling free ends 3, fracture surfaces on the cut-and-raised tip sides of the individual engaging small protrusions 35 are opposed to each other.
