Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a light-weight high-strength pipe having nodes by providing a pipe made of a resin or having at least the inner surface made of a resin and integrally bonding formed inner nodes to the inner surface of the pipe at regular intervals.

CONSTITUTION: A resin stopping member 25 made of a synthetic rubber, etc., is inserted into a pipe 21 at a prescribed position. A resin injection needle 33 is thrust through the resin stopping member from under and a prescribed amount of a liquid resin is injected into the pipe through the injection needle 33. The injection of the liquid resin is carried out by a resin-feeding apparatus 35 capable of controlling the injection amount at an accuracy of e.g. about 0.0002cc while mixing two kinds of liquid comprising a curing agent and a principal agent. The injection needle 33 is extracted from the member 25 and the liquid resin injected to the upper face of the member 25 is cured in a space formed by the upper surface of the member 25 and the inner surface of the pipe 21 and integrally bonded to the inner surface of the pipe 21. The member 25 is lowered together with a positioning jig 29 by a distance corresponding to the distance to the next resin layer 23 to be formed. A prescribed amount of the liquid resin is injected through the injection needle 33 at the position and cured in the pipe. The above operations are repeated to obtain a pipe having plural nodes bonded to the inner surface of the pipe 21.
