Title:
PIPE HAVING SHOCK-ABSORBING STRUCTURE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH01210682
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a pipe which will not produce a hammering sound when it collides with another component by providing a plurality of protrusions of elastomer material in the circumferential surface protruding out in the diametrical direction.

CONSTITUTION: A drain pipe 4 consists of polyvinyl chloride resin and includes an inner layer 5 of relatively rigid material and an outer layer 6 of soft material. In the outer circumferential surface of the outer layer 6 are formed a number of protrusions 7 at a constant interval protruding in the diametrical direction to exist along the length of the pipe. If a vehicle 1 is vibrated in running to make the drain pipe 4 collide with wall parts around the part where it is disposed, the protrusions 7 act as shock absorbing material to prevent production of a hammering sound.
