PURPOSE: To enable an automatic cleaning of a supporting plate pipe hole to be performed by a method wherein a rotary shaft and a cleaning brush are moved in a desired pipe hole of a supporting plate and the cleaning brush fixed to an extremity end of the rotary shaft is inserted into the pipe hole to clean the pipe.
CONSTITUTION: An inserting device 14, a rotary driving device 18 and a rotary shaft 20 are lifted or lowered by position setting devices 12A and 12B or moved horizontally in a width direction of a heat exchanger 16, and a cleaning brush 22 at an extremity end of the rotary shaft 20 is moved in such a way as it is positioned at a desired pipe hole 24 of a supporting plate 26 arranged within the heat exchanger 16. Then, running part 14A of an inserting device 14 moves along a running rail 54 and the rotary driving device 18 approaches the heat exchanger 16. The rotary shaft 20 is rotated by the rotary driving device 15, inserted into the desired pipe hole 24 and then the pipe hole 24 of the supporting plate 26 arranged side by side is cleaned by the cleaning brush 22. In this case, since air from an air supplying hose 84 is being blown from an extremity opening of the rotary shaft 20, dusts in the pipe hole 24 can be blown and the cleaning effect can be improved more.
