Title:
PIPE JACKING MACHINE AND PIPE JACKING CONSTRUCTION METHOD
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3818889
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pipe jacking technology capable of supporting a cutting face by a mud pressure without discharging mud into a starting shaft during connection of an embedded pipe after starting.
SOLUTION: This pipe jacking machine is provided with a leading body 10 forming a mud passage 5 by a leading body main body 11 and an outer cylinder 12, an embedded pipe connector 20, and a base pressing device 40 having a pressing base 43 pressing the leading body and a seal cylinder 47 brought into tight contact with the outer cylinder 12 in the starting for sealing it. By means of the pipe jacking machine, plastically flowing mud 6 is formed by injecting viscosity applying liquid to excavated soil, and the mud 6 is fed into the mud passage 5 so that a part of the mud is discharged to the ground while the rest is led to the outer circumference of the embedded pipe. In starting, the embedded pipe connector 20 is mounted to the leading body main body 11 to be pressed inward by the pressing base 43, and during the pressing process, the seal cylinder 47 can be brought into tight contact with the outer cylinder 12. When the embedded pipe connector 20 is pressed by the pressing base 43, the seal cylinder 47 is fitted to an entrance packing 50, and when the seal cylinder 47 is pulled out, the packing 50 is brought into tight contact with the embedded pipe connector 20.
