Abstract:
PURPOSE: To cause a press ring pusher to function with a simple structure in a pipe joining device.
CONSTITUTION: A pipe joining device is provided with a press ring setter 42 having a recess 50 in which a polygonal press ring 9 fitted around an insertion port 4 is fitted and a press ring pusher 68 capable of pressing the press ring 9 toward the press ring setter 42 by means of the force of a spring 65. By rotating the press ring setter 42 so as to make the contour of the recess 50 coincident with that of the press ring 9, the press ring 9 is inserted into the recess 50 by the press ring pusher 68. Also, by rotating the press setter 42, the bolt hole 13 of the press ring 9 is aligned with a bolt 10 penetrating the flange 7 of a receiving port 2 in a circumferential direction. By a cylinder device 22, the press ring setter 42 is moved in a direction approaching the flange 7 against the force of the spring 65.
