Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To save a space and reduce the cost in a pipe joint structure for an air conditioner.
SOLUTION: In this pipe joint structure for supporting a pipe member 5 to the pipe joint 10 to be attached to a refrigerator, an insertion hole 12 through which the pipe member 5 is inserted is formed within the pipe joint 10. The insertion hole 12 is provided with a vertical portion 12a for inserting the tip portion 5a of the pipe member 5 and an elliptical groove portion 12b for storing a flat portion 5b of the pipe member 5. After the pipe member 5 shaped into an L-shape is disposed in the upper part of the pipe joint 10 with an attachment surface 10a of the pipe joint 10 facing upward, the pipe member 5 is calked and pressure connected by a pressing punch 15. As a result, the flat portion 7 is formed on a horizontal portion 5a of the pipe member 5 and at the same time, the pipe member 5 is connected to the insertion hole 12 of the pipe joint 10.
