Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pipe joint structure preventing jumping current via soil around a joint part of a metal pipe, and enabling secure electric corrosion countermeasures with high reliability.SOLUTION: In a pipe joint structure 1 of a metal pipe buried under ground, into a socket 2 of one metal pipe P1, a spigot 3 of another metal pipe P2 is inserted, and then a pair of metal pipes P1, P2 are connected to each other. In order to suppress jumping current between the one metal pipe P1 and the other metal pipe P2 via underground soil, an insulation coating part 6 is provided in an end surface 2c of the socket 2 and in an area A5 continuously extending in an axial direction from an outer edge 2e of the end surface 2c of the socket 2 on an outer surface 2d of the socket 2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
