Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent imperfect coupling of a pipe joint of which pipe joint member is fitted tight on a pipe with bolts and nuts.
SOLUTION: A pipe joint comprises bolts with a non-circular portion, and halved pipe joint members 22 each perforated with bolt insertion holes 5 with a non-circular portion 55 for receiving the non-circular portion of the bolt to check the rotation thereof. The pipe joint member 22 is formed with spirally inclined faces 50 around the opening edges of the non-circular portions 55 in the bolt insertion holes 5 for the purpose of properly guiding the bolts into the bolt insertion holes 5.
