To provide a pipe joint advantageous for both an assembly work and cost.
This joint has a joint body 2 capable of at least being partly coupled internally to a pipe 1 having many recesses and projections 1A and 1B on the external surface, and a metallic cylindrical member 3 capable of at least being partly coupled externally to the pipe 1. Both sides of the cylindrical member 3 are pressed for contact along an inserting direction, with the joint body 2 and the cylindrical member 3 inserted in the pipe 1. The pressure contact parts 3A and 3A of the cylindrical member 3 are thereby bent and deformed internally for clamping and fixing the pipe 1 by means of the joint body 2 and the cylindrical member 3. Furthermore, a filling material 4 is provided for filling the recesses 1A of the pipe 1 at a position between both of pressure contact parts 3A and 3A before the appearance of pressure contact. Furthermore, locking mechanisms 7 are provided, so as to be locked to the ends of the joint body 2 and the cylindrical member 3 according to the bent deformation of the cylindrical member 3 for stopping the joint body 2, thereby completing the pipe joint.
