To provide a pipe pile capable of reaching a bearing layer of a ground because another pipe pile can be easily added to it, having no possibility of breakage of the pipe pile during construction work, and low in cost as a whole, and a construction method of the pipe pile.
A pipe pile for a small-scale building is comprised of a tubular soldier pile A and a tubular pile B rotatable in an inner peripheral wall of the soldier pile A. A spiral flange A11 for being pressed in the ground by rotation is provided on an outer periphery of the soldier pile, a pile is constituted of a plurality of steel pipes, and spiral flanges B12, B21 for being pressed in the ground by rotation are provided on outer peripheries of the piles. Connection of the pile B1 and the pile B2 is carried out by inserting connection pieces B13, B22 uniformly dividing a pipe circumference in a horizontal cross section so as to engage with each other, fitting a cylindrical body C in contact with a pipe inner peripheral into the inside of the connection pieces, and moreover screwing a spiral spring body D to spiral protrusions B15, B25 formed on the outer periphery of the connection pieces which are continuous when they are engaged with each other.
