To provide a pipe-shaped socket having a coupling part capable of enduring the expansion of plastic material of a second part contacting with liquid having a possibility of causing expansion such as gasoline and diesel fluid, and certainly coupling the second part and a container by heat or welding.
This pipe-shaped socket for coupling an opening portion of a plastic container comprises thermoplastic tubular and annular portions. The annular portion has expansion performance larger than that of the tubular portion. The tubular portion has a first end portion provided with first and second outside ribs. The annular portion has first and second rims, and the diameter of the first rim is smaller than that of the second rim. The second rim is material adhered with the container opening portion. The annular portion and the tubular portion are coupled by injection molding so as to dispose the first rim between the outside ribs. The second rib of the tubular portion between the first and second rims of the annular portion is provided with a flexible peripheral lip welded to an inner side surface of the annular portion. The flexible lip extends to the second rim, and covers the most part of the inner side surface.
