Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent the generation of unequal rotation by. the insufficient friction force between a sink roll and a steel strip.
CONSTITUTION: The surface of the sink roll in a hot dip metal coating bath is provided with helical grooves 2 at 20 to 60° angle to the orthogonal direction of the roll shaft. As a result, quality troubles, such as rubbing flaws and unequal plating, of a hot dip metal coated steel sheet by the unequal rotation of the sink roll are entirely eliminated.
