To provide a pipeline measurement evaluation method and its system allowing high-precision linear measurement even for long distance measurement.
The attitude of a pig main body at a starting point and an ending point of a pipeline are acquired in advance. For the attitude of the pig main body at the starting point, attitude change angles obtained by the travel of the pig main body are successively accumulated to determine attitude data in the forward direction from the starting point to the ending point. For the pig main body at the ending point, attitude change angles obtained by the travel of the pig main body are successively accumulated to determine attitude data in the backward direction from the ending point to the starting point. Using the attitude data in the forward direction and the attitude data in the backward direction, attitude data with a reduced attitude error is recalculated. Using the recalculated attitude data, the linear shape of the pipeline is determined.
