Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shutdown an inside part of a pipeline easily and positively under a low workload.SOLUTION: This invention relates to a jig for use in closing an inside part of a pipe line P. Two discs 1, 2 having a smaller outer diameter D1 than an inner diameter d1 of the pipe line P are oppositely arranged in such a way that each of flat surfaces 1a, 2a may be faced to each other while a specified clearance L being left. A thermoplastic or elastic closing member 5 with the same or smaller outer diameter D2 as the outer diameter D1 of discs 1, 2 is arranged between the flat surfaces 1a, 2a of the two discs 1, 2. There is provided an expansion mechanism 6 for use in expanding the closing member 5 outward larger than the outer diameter D1 of the discs 1, 2 by approaching one disc 1 of the two discs 1, 2 to the other disc 2. After the other disc 2 of the closing jig is positioned at an internal closing position of the pipe line P, the expansion mechanism 6 is operated to cause one disc 1 to approach to the other disc 2, whereby the closing member 6 is expanded outside to become larger than the outer diameter D1 of the discs 1, 2 to close the inside part of the pipe line P.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
