PURPOSE: To provide a piping connector which can reduce the diameter, width and total length of a socket, facilitates pipe laying and is superior in pipe holding force.

CONSTITUTION: At least one side of annular cylindrical wall of a socket body to be coupled with a connector proper 1 is provided with an elastic arm 7' which extends in the circumferential direction with a slit 12, leaving an annular wall 7". The tip of the elastic arm 7' is furnished with a block-shaped nail wall 5 which projects inside from a notched window 9 of the connector proper. The nail wall 5 is engaged with and connected to an annular swelled wall P'. On the other hand, the socket body and the connector proper are disengaged by rotating them relatively. Thanks to the block shape of the nail wall portion, the connector is highly rigid, superior in pipe holding force, and facilitates removal of the pipe.
