To cover piping including an elbow part in a narrow place where it is hard for a person to get to, by remote operation.

The piping covering method includes steps of: (i) preparing an elbow part heat insulating material that is split in two from an elbow part of the piping 2 in a front and rear direction of a curving direction, and equipped with a first elbow part heat insulating material 20 and a second elbow part heat insulating material 40 structured to surround the periphery of the elbow part when connected; (ii) feeding the first elbow part heat insulating material 20 to one side of the elbow part along a straight pipe part 2b connected to the elbow part; (iii) feeding the second elbow part heat insulating material 40 to the other side of the elbow part; and (iv) connecting the first elbow part heat insulating material 20 to the second elbow heat insulating material 40 to surround the periphery of the elbow part.
