To provide a joint capable of making airtight inside a piping joint for food without using packing.
The joint forms on one short pipe member 10 a tubular protuberance 14 protruding in the axial direction so as to extend an inside diameter part of the short pipe member 10, and simultaneously forms on outer peripheral end of the protuberance 14 a roundness part 14a which is arcuate in the cross section over whole circumference. The joint also forms on other short pipe member 20 a larger diameter 24 capable of playing and floating the protuberance 14, and simultaneously forms on bottom surface of the larger diameter part 24 a taper part 24a of which the diameter continuously reduces toward inside diameter of the short pipe member 20 in the depthwise direction. The joint which brings the roundness part 14a into press contact with the taper part 24a is further provided by clamping the short pipe members 10,20 between each other with a clamping member 30.
