Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the progress of blowout of fluid around a pipe and breaking of the pipe in a pipe protection device and a nuclear facility.SOLUTION: A pipe protection device comprises: an outer cylinder 11 covering a pipe 106 circulating therein a fluid; and ring-shaped side lid members 12 and 13 fixed to axial end portions of the outer cylinder 11, respectively, the outer cylinder 11 being constituted by a plurality of split outer cylinders 11a into which the outer cylinder 11 is radially split and each including attachment flanges 11b provided in circumferential end portions, respectively, the split outer cylinders 11a being coupled by closely attaching the attachment flanges 11b and fastening the attachment flanges 11b by bolts, and the side lid members 12 and 13 being constituted by a plurality of split side lid members 12a and 13a into which the side lid members 12 and 13 are radially split, respectively.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
