To provide a piping structure for extinguishing tunnel fire or the like which is light weight, is excellent in installation workability into a tunnel, and is usable as water supply piping or the like for extinguishing a tunnel fire.
The water supply piping 5 is mainly constituted of a pipe body 15, a reinforcing layer 17 and a protective layer 19, etc. The pipe body 15 is a resin pipe body and is made of heat-resistant crosslinked polyethylene, for instance. The reinforcing layer 17 is formed by winding a reinforcing belt-like body. As the reinforcing belt-like body, a tape of polyarylate fibers can be used. The protective layer 19 is made of a resin and fire-resistant polyolefin is used for instance. It is desirable that carbon black is mixed for 1% or more in the protective layer 19. As for the end part of the water supply piping 5, the protective layer 19 at the end part is cut off and removed beforehand in a plant. For cutting off and removing the protective layer 19, an ultrasonic cutter or the like is used. When the ultrasonic cutter is used, since a cutting thickness can be set beforehand, the pipe body 15 is not damaged.
