Title:
PISTOL HOLDER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH07159092
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent black painting or black plating of a front sight provided at the tip of a barrel from peeling off by a method wherein a slide-contact preventive device, which allows drawing a pistol out from and back to a pocket without slide- contact between the front sight and the inner wall of the pocket, is provided on the inner wall of the pocket corresponding to the position of the front sight.

CONSTITUTION: A piston holder consists of a housing 2 with a pocket 21 having a shape corresponding to a barrel of a piston 10, and a cover 3 that is connected to the housing 2 and covers the piston 10. In addition, two protruding lines 4 stretching in the direction in which the barrel is drawn out are provided on an inner wall 11 of the pocket 21 corresponding to a front sight 11 of the pistol 10. The height of the protruding lines 4 are higher than that of the front sight 11 so that the ridges of the protruding lines 4 come in slide-contact with the top side of the barrel, preventing the front sight 11 from coming in slide contact with the inner wall 22. When two protrusion or two protruding lines 5 facing each other are provided on the inner wall 22 of the pocket 21 corresponding to both sides of the barrel, the piston 10 can be smoothly drawn out from and back to the pistol holder and the impact at the time of a fall or collision can be mitigated.
