PURPOSE: To prevent the temperature rise of oil by providing a sub gallery as an oil passage sub pipe, and providing an oil jet facing the cylinder inside on this sub gallery.
CONSTITUTION: A plurality of bosses 8 into which bolts are to be screwed are formed on the peripheral edge of a matching surface 6u1 of a crank case 6 to a cylinder 4. A sub gallery 10 as an oil passage sub pipe parallely extending to the crank shaft 6a is provided on the front surface outer part of a boss 8f out of these bosses 8, positioned on the vehicle front side. An oil jet 12 facing the inside of the cylinder 4 is provided n the sub garalley 10. The sub gallery 10 and a main gallery 24 are connected to an oil pump 14 through a branch pipe 20. The required quantities of cooling oil to a piston can be stably supplied, and the temperature of oil can be always and restrained from being raised by the effect of the generated heat on the cylinder or the journal part.
