Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piston-crank mechanism, which can secure the normal operation for a long continuous service time by absorbing the horizontal displacement and the angular displacement of a piston.
SOLUTION: In the piston-crank mechanism 1, a piston 2 and a cross head part 3, which are formed as separate members, are connected via a reciprocating drive mechanism A. The reciprocating transmission mechanism A comprises a connecting protrusion 10 which is formed on a piston rod 5 and has a convexed spherical surface 14 at the front end thereof, a concave connecting part 12 which is formed on the cross head part 3 and has a flat bottom surface 13, and a piston receiving part 16 which is formed so as to have a flat surface 16a for abutting against the flat bottom surface 13 at one side and a recessed spherical surface 16b for abutting against the convexed spherical surface 14 at the other side. The horizontal displacement of the piston can be absorbed by that the connecting protrusion 10 and the piston receiving part 16 can horizontally slide on the flat bottom surface 13, and the angular displacement of the piston can be absorbed by that the convexed spherical surface 14 can slide on the recessed spherical surface 16b.
