Abstract:
To attain a high cable release force for clutch operation without pneumatic type force amplification.
In a piston cylinder unit for a master cylinder and a slave cylinder in a hydraulic clutch operation system, the piston cylinder unit is constituted that an effective pressure surface AD on which a hydraulic pressure acts can change over the strokes in axial direction of pistons 3 and 14. Namely, in a pressure region, the piston 3 is radially decreased in a diameter (tapered) to a deepest point in a radial direction starting from a start diameter and thereafter also increased again in an axial direction to a start diameter.
