In the piston 1 formed of the aluminum alloy composite material used in the internal combustion engine, a portion 2a of a mouth of the combustion chamber of the piston of the internal combustion engine is formed of an aluminum alloy in which ceramic particles and ceramic short fibers are dispersed, and a portion other than the mouth is formed of an aluminum alloy in which ceramic particles are dissipated.
