Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piston of an internal combustion engine including an oil ring capable of improving sealability while reducing tension.SOLUTION: An oil ring 20 is mounted on a third ring groove 13 formed on a peripheral surface. For a piston 10 of an internal combustion engine reciprocatively moving in a cylinder 1, when for the third ring groove 13, a surface on a combustion chamber side is a groove upper surface 31, and a surface facing the groove upper surface 31 is a groove lower surface 32, a portion at which sealing force between the oil ring 20 and the groove upper surface 31 occurs, and a portion at which sealing force between the oil ring 20 and the groove lower surface 32 are made into an asymmetric state.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
