Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a piston pin of ceramic which can suppress noise generation when it is in practical application and can achieve lightweight construction and the reliability in terms of strength compatibly.
CONSTITUTION: A piston pin concerned 1 is to connect a piston 3 with a connecting rod 4 within a cylinder 5, wherein a ceramic coating layer of 10-500μm thick is provided over the inside surface of a pin body of ceramic in the form of a cylinder with the two ends left open, or otherwise a sound absorbing material 2 is inserted fast in the cylinder of pin body.
