Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a measuring piston to stop at a predetermined measurement preparation position and perform a correction measurement even without applying a load to the measuring piston more than necessary and even in the case of a large flow rate.SOLUTION: A prover 1 includes: a measuring cylinder 2; a hydraulic cylinder 12 connected to a downstream end side of the measuring cylinder 2; a measuring piston 9 moving a predetermined distance inside the measuring cylinder 2 from an upstream side to a downstream side and discharging fluid having a standard volume; and a piston rod 13 movably stored in a hydraulic cylinder 12. The measuring piston 9 is configured separately from the piston rod 13. The prover 1 includes measuring preparation position suspension means 14. When the measuring piston 9 is returned to a predetermined measuring preparation position, the piston rod 13 moves the measuring piston 9 from the downstream side to the upstream side. After the measuring preparation position suspension means 14 causes the measuring piston 9 to stop at the predetermined measuring preparation position, the piston rod 13 alone is moved from the upstream side to the downstream side to be stored inside the hydraulic cylinder 12.
