Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain a large flow rate with a small-sized pump and substantially equalize two maximum discharge rates to each other even when the discharge rate is lowered by cavitation at a low temperature in a pump by which at least two discharge rates are discharged dividedly by keeping a hydraulic pressure balance so as not to separate a cylinder block from a control plate, while improving suction performance and enabling high-speed operation of the pump. CONSTITUTION:Circular-arc openings having different diameters are formed on an end wall 11 of a rotationally driven cylinder block 6. A width W10 of an opening 13' of a small diameter circular arc along a normal line is larger than a width W9 of an opening 13 of a large diameter circular arc along a normal line. At the time of a maximum discharge rate of a pump, areas of openings on smaller and larger diameter sides are distributed so as to equalize suction performance of the small diameter side opening 13' to that of the large diameter side opening 13. It is thus possible to improve suction performance of the pump, operate the pump with high speed, and obtain substantially the same maximum discharge rate at every opening.
