Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piston ring capable of restricting damage at an abutment part and assuring its sealing characteristic in a superior manner.SOLUTION: At an abutment part 3 of a piston ring 1, a side surface 2a of a main body part 2 is provided with a first protrusion part 13 and a first receiving part 14, a side surface 2b of the main body part 2 is provided with a second protrusion part 15 and a second receiving part 16 and an inner peripheral surface 2c of the main body part 2 is provided with a first male part 21 and a first female part 22. An outer peripheral surface 2d of the main body part 2 is provided with a second male part 23 and a second female part 24. The first male part 21 has an inclination surface 21b inclined in respect to an abutment surface 21a with the first female part 22 and faced toward the outer peripheral surface 2d in such a way that an extremity end of the first male part 21 may become a tapering-off state. The second male part 23 has an inclination surface 23b inclined in respect to an abutment surface 23a with the second female part 24 and facing to the inner peripheral surface 2c in such a way that an extremity end of the second male part 23 may become a tapering-off state.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
