Abstract:
To provide a piston ring that can improve heat efficiency of an internal combustion engine and suppress overheat of a piston.SOLUTION: A piston ring is fitted to a piston of an internal combustion engine including a combustion chamber. The piston ring includes: a first layer disposed on a side of the combustion chamber; and a second layer formed integrally with the first layer and extending to an outer peripheral surface of the piston ring or in the vicinity thereof, where the first layer has a heat conductivity that is lower than a heat conductivity of the second layer.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
