Abstract:
To provide a piston ring including a clad structure composed of a plurality of materials, superior in heat settling resistance, and capable of realizing excellent heat conductivity and/or weight reduction by selecting the plurality of materials.SOLUTION: A piston ring is mounted on a piston of an internal combustion engine having a combustion chamber and a crank chamber, and has a clad structure including a first layer disposed at a combustion chamber side, a second layer disposed at a crank chamber side, and a third layer formed between the first layer and the second layer in a manner that the first layer, the second layer and the third layer are integrally formed. Equivalent heat conductivity of the clad structure is 22-52 W/mK.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
