Abstract:
To provide a piston ring excellent in abrasion resistance, which hardly causes abrasion damage to a cylinder.SOLUTION: A piston ring 1 used in a reciprocating type compressor for compressing gas is made of resin composition with polyether ether ketone resin as a main component. The melting viscosity of the polyether ether ketone resin in a shear rate of 1000/s and a temperature of 400°C is 200-550 Pa s by a determination method based on ISO 11443. The resin composition contains 5-25 vol.% of carbon fiber and 5-25 vol.% of solid lubricant to the entire resin composition. The solid lubricant is at least one selected from PTFE resin and black lead.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
