Title:
PISTON STRUCTURE FOR INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2013231481
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a piston structure for an internal combustion engine capable of restricting outbreaks of the noise during the operation of a piston, maintaining the oil seal performance of an oil ring.

When an outer diameter of a second land part formed between a groove, in which a corresponding top ring of a piston for an internal combustion engine is to be installed, and a groove, in which a corresponding second ring is to be installed, is A, an inner diameter of a cylinder, in which the piston for an internal combustion engine is to be installed, is B, and the length along a piston shaft between a lower surface of the groove, in which the corresponding top ring is to be installed, and an upper surface of the groove, in which the corresponding second ring is to be installed, is C, a piston structure for an internal combustion engine which satisfies a condition {(B/2)2-(A/2)2}×π×C/B=2.4-3.7 is used.
