Abstract:
PURPOSE: To automatically maintain an air-fuel ratio at a proper value by a method wherein an amount of a negative pressure in an intake passage to a float chamber in such a way that the more an altitude is increased, the more the opening ratio of a negative pressure introduction passage is increased.
CONSTITUTION: A negative pressure introduction passage 24 is provided to intercommunicate a position in a level higher than that of a fuel surface in a float chamber 20 and a position wherein the section of a road is changed by the piston valve 16 of an intake passage 12 and a solenoid valve 26 is located in the middle of the passage 24. Information from an outside air temperature sensor 38 and an atmosphere pressure sensor 40 is inputted to an electronic control means 42 to set the opening closing ratio of the solenoid valve 26. In which case, the more an altitude is increased and the more an outside air temperature is increased, the more an opening time is set to a longer value. This constitution reduces a differential pressure between a float chamber 20 and an intake air passage 12 and reduces a delivery fuel amount, and corrects an air-fuel ratio to a proper value through regulation of a delivery fuel amount.
