Abstract:
To provide a piston capable of suppressing rotations of a piston ring while suppressing the expansion of an abutment joint of the piston ring.SOLUTION: In a piston, a piston ring having an abutment joint is disposed in a ring groove formed between a first land and a second land. The ring groove and the piston ring undulate in an axial direction of the piston along a circumferential direction of the piston, and the amplitude of undulation of the ring groove and the piston ring is larger than a clearance between a lower surface or an upper surface of the piston ring and a side surface of the ring groove.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
