Title:
PITCHING REDUCING DEVICE FOR SHIP BODY
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5730686
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To effectively reduce pitching of a ship body, by mounting a float to the ship body through actuating levers 3 with interlocking action to fluidic pressure and damping mechanisms and suppressing pitching motion of the ship body at sailing with said float.

CONSTITUTION: Between dual body parts of a ship body 15 formed to a catamaran, a float 1 is mounted through actuating levers 3 whose intermediate part is mounted to a pivot 4 of the chip body, and a top end part of the actuating lever 3 is mounted to an actuating rod 6 of a fluidic pressure mechanism 12 by a pivot 5, further fluidic pressure of the fluidic pressure mechanism 12 is acted upon a damping mechanism 8 through a coupling means 13. Further a pivotally mounting part 2 of the float 1 is positioned slightly rearward. In this constitution, pitching motion arising from a bow wave in whichever direction the wave may be can be effectively absorbed by the float 1 and the action of its interlocking actuating lever 3, fluidic pressure mechanism 12 and damping mechanism 8.
