Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pivot assembly bearing device, a head stack assembly, and a hard disc driving device capable of improving retaining force of the pivot assembly bearing device in pressing-fitting the pivot assembly bearing device into a mounting hole of the head stack assembly.SOLUTION: A pivot assembly bearing device 2 of an embodiment includes a set of rolling bearings 22 having outer rings 22b and inner rings 22a and disposed in adjacent to each other along an axial direction of a shaft 21, and laser irradiation portions 24 formed by applying laser beam to outer peripheral faces of the outer rings 22b, and the laser irradiation portions 24 are coarsened. According to this constitution, due to increase in surface roughness of the outer peripheral faces of the outer rings 22b, retaining force of the pivot assembly bearing device 2 in press-fitting the pivot assembly bearing device 2 into a mounting hole 32 of a swing arm 3 can be improved.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
